Ukrainian grain going to Europe instead of Africa

Moscow, Sep 9 (IANS) At least 38% of the grain traded from Ukraine under the UN-facilitated bargain is transported to the EU rather than the non-industrial nations in Africa for which it was planned, Spains El Pais paper revealed refering to UN information and boat following figures.

As per the report, more than 2.3 million tons of corn, wheat, grain and other rural items were traded through the Black Sea hallway from Ukraine between August 1 and September 7, RT announced.

Of this aggregate, around 900,000 tons were shipped off the ports of EU part states. The report noticed that it is difficult to follow from the accessible information whether the EU is the last objective of the shipments or a travel point.

On July 22, multilateral arrangements were endorsed in Istanbul laying out the structure of products of Ukrainian grain, food, and composts through the Black Sea. The arrangements additionally lifted limitations on Russian grain and manure trades, RT detailed.

Russia’s foreign ministry has said that the deal to unblock Ukrainian grain exports via the Black Sea is being fulfilled “badly” and its extension will depend on how it is implemented, RIA reported.
