Climate Defiance, a weather trade activist organization, is protesting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner 2023 on Saturday. President Joe Biden is about to speak on the occasion.
The institution on Saturday stated that it “rolled up to the 30th Annual White House Correspondents Garden Brunch in DC to demand reality in reporting.”
“No you possibly can name Joe Biden a ‘weather-pleasant president’ whilst he’s wrecking the planet w/ new oil + fuel projects,” the group tweeted.
Organizers of the group said that they plan to blockade the region near the dinner on Saturday. They allege that Biden promised to quit fossil gasoline extraction on public lands but did not deliver.

“Number one, no greater subsidies for fossil gas industry. No greater drilling on federal lands. No extra drilling, which includes offshore. No capacity for the oil enterprise to retain to drill, duration, ends,” Biden stated then.
Climate Defiance accuse Joe Biden of committing ecocide. It is defined because the “devastation and destruction of the environment to the detriment of lifestyles” through the European Law Institute.
